Tuesday, August 19, 2014 - A bit more developed than the previous wines with a funky dark fruit nose. Quite taut on the palate but kept opening up to reveal copious amounts of concentrated black fruits with notes of coffee, and chocolate fudge. Quite rip and decadent on the finish with scorched earth, truffle and mineral notes. Rich and yet with an underlying core of steel. A paradoxical wine but one that is ultimately delicious and should continue to age well.
