Was really excited to open it up as my wife an I were enjoying a wine and cheese fest last night. Manchego, Gruyere, Havarti and Fromage D'affinois. Did meld very well with the Manchego, go figure Rioja working well with Manchego!
The wine was not what I expected in that I got very little fruit. More herbal and like cedar with a touch of plums. Nice long finish but still confusing.
Will give it another try tonight, but I don't see this wine as having a very long life.
