Saturday, May 23, 2015 - Dinner with Bob H and Elaine (Chez V): [Decanted at 3pm.] On first opening, the color is nearly brown. The wine is giving very little right now, but seems quite sound. We await the magic.
Open several hours, it is showing beautifully. Classic nose of black fruit, tar, licorice and roses. Beautiful structure in the mouth. Mellow, but still tannic. That tannins are softening. Needs maybe 5-10 fully reach its peak, but excellent with grass-fed burgers tonight.
