Friday, August 3, 2001 - Presented as unknown (blind) tasting at Vintage Wines, Ltd. (provided from my cellar). Bright disc with deep garnet robe and amber rim. Slight barnyard nose, wiith smokey plum, cigar box, exotic spices, cedar and vanilla. Good acid/tannin balance, supple, round, with flavors similar as described for nose. Medium to long, slightly acidic finish. The fruit seems to be holding. This wine was guessed by the tasters to be as young as a 1997! Most felt that it was an '88 or '89 Bordeaux.
