Friday, June 15, 2012 - 9th Annual Blind Challenge (The Square, Mayfair, London): Butterscotchy, almondy, oxidative. Has a lot in common with a poxed burgundy, but somehow one can sense that this is meant to taste like this. I'm half expecting Keith to serve a Tondonia, but this lacks the acid and austerity of a LdH. Rhone seems more likely Once Simon has said Beaucastel I'm sure he's right. The taste is interesting, but not pleasurable.
