Friday, August 5, 2005 - Give this wine some time after opening. An initially funky nose blows off to reveal plum and blackberry aromas. The palate is magnificent, wtih open-knit licorice and blackberry fruit, and hints of roast meat. There is a strong acid streak in the wine but it is balanced with good tannin and very good structure. Crozes doesn't get better than this.
