Monday, April 23, 2012 - The wine smells great, there is a seawater note and the more typical hazelnut and oil tones are in there too. The nose improves over 90 minutes or so that it was open. The palate is lacking focus and acidity though, and it just spreads out too much, doesn't anchor itself. It also improved, but never really go there. Enjoyable old wine and i would happily drink it again, but not a great example of an old Jobard Meursault.
