Wednesday, April 16, 2014 - Medium-dark red color. Pretty aroma of red and black berry fruit with some violets lurking. Palate has ripe, but not cooked, cherry, blueberry, and blackberry notes with some vanilla and barrel-based flavors coming in a medium to medium-long finish. This has better balance for my tastes than the 2000 at this point and is an interesting broad-shouldered Oregon Pinot Noir. Drink or hold.
