Thursday, March 20, 2014 - What a surprise! This bottle was part of an auction lot of dessert wines and the storage of the bottles was quite uncertain. The cork was as dry as dust when I attempted to extract it with a cork screw. An Ah So did the trick. The wine smelled and tasted very nice. It was a bit one dimensional and quite sweet, but none the less, very drinkable. Nice fruit with dark fruit and a bit of raspberry notes. There were lots of solids (not to mention cork debris) that we filtered before drinking.
