Wednesday, April 1, 2015 - This is a ridiculous wine! Nose is packed with black fruit and oak. Plums, very ripe sweet cherries, liquorice, light menthol, a bit of butterscotch some dried fruit, raisins and figs together with bourbon vanilla.
Lacking a bit of acidity (medium(-)), plenty of ripe sweetish fruit. High intensity, good length and some tannins on the finish.
Had this pinned down as a Barossa Shiraz. Powerfull and extremely ripe. And even though it is a bit over the top, it is quite delicious and incredibly good value. Will easily keep for another 5 years.
