Wednesday, April 17, 2013 - Popped and poured and consumed over 2 hours. Very deep garnet-red/purple, especially deep for a 2008. Very oaky nose with loads of allspice, plums, green tea, mint, and cherries as well. Lush, again particularly interesting for a 2008, on the palate but nicely balanced. Very open and forward for this vintage. This was quite nice but too modern in style for my taste, especially when compared to other wines from et Fille in this vintage. It lacked the complexity and depth that mark 2008 in Oregon. Drank from the winelist at The Joel Palmer House in Dayton, Oregon.
