Thursday, December 30, 2010 - Pretty dark fruited nose. Our first Quilceda Creek - having bought the last 3 years, figured we needed to taste one to see what we think of the wine. Big, pretty black fuiits - blackberry, currants and a hint of licorice and violets. Relieved that it wasn't overdone in any way - nice intense fruit balanced with good acid and tannins for years of aging. Way too young for real enjoyment now but at least I learned it is one we like - so will keep buying.
