Thursday, December 6, 2012 - Smoky, earthy aromas of dark fruits, sous-bois, spice and meat on the nose. Full-bodied and with a very dense, plush mouth feel, this has got lots of ripe plum and boysenberry fruit character. There's good length and a hint of pepper on the graphite- and mineral-tinged finish too. Could use just a bit more aciditiy to liven it up though. Definitely shows a sense of place and is very enjoyable for a $12 Cotes du Roussillon.
