Wednesday, July 13, 2011 - France 2011 - Côte d'Or; 7/8/2011-7/13/2011 (Beaune): Tasted at the Domaine. This offers a more classic nose of red pinot fruit, floral and red currants. In the mouth it’s focused and lean with mouth-watering acidity and tight firm tannins. This has great tension and vibrancy with a long fresh finish. I really like this wine and to me shows the greatness of the 2008 vintage. This is great to taste now but undoubtedly will be better in 5-10+ years. Excellent. 91+
