Friday, May 15, 2015 - Our first bottle of Kistler and we were not quite sure what to expect. What a pleasant surprise! The nose was extremely earthy (soil, meat, fur) atop dark cherry fruits and citrus peel. The balance was right on: brisk acidity matched expressive cherry fruit blow for blow. A long finish rode that same acidity for quite awhile.
