Monday, February 21, 2011 - Kalamata, some black licorice, and fairly bold cherry fruit. Underlying minerality and a reasonably long finish. Still, it all seems a little lackluster without any zing. Decent but unspectacular. 88
This wine is a lot better the second day. It has picked up a little weight, with nicely integrated flavors and a hint of menthol that I associate more with Bordeaux than with Italian wines. I'm upgrading my score to 90.
