Sunday, July 19, 2015 - In a beautiful place right now. Rich, mid-dark fruits, volume, length. A hint of ripe, integrated tannins give a bit of structure and suggest 3-5 years more aging potential -- not more as this is a fleshy wine that lacks a bit of acidity for the ripeness, and it becomes slightly flabby when warming up from cellar temperature / after 1-2 hours. Not hot, though, and thoroughly burgundian even if fruit-forward. This bottle showed better than the last several, probably because it was served directly from the cellar (14-15 C) and benefited from the temperature.
