Strong vitamin earth, warm spice, smoke, rose and plums, fresh red and blue berries on the nose. Plenty of acid on the fuller, smoothed out palate, with darker plum and berry fruit filling in toward the finish. Long, fruity and floral finish. Went rather spectacularly with minimally seasoned grilled rib eye, grilled potatoes, grilled asparagus (I know!) with a balsamic glaze and wired dandelion greens in Meyer lemon juice and a glug of really good olive oil.
