95 Points

Friday, January 15, 2010 - Popped and poured and allowed to sit in the glass for 10 minutes before drinking. Dar red to brick red, turning tawny brown at the rim. Nose of chocolate, mocha, earth, truffles and leather. Palate a wonderfully harmonious mixture of mature dark fruit, raisins, dark chocolate and cloves, still with a strong tannic pedal point through the midpalate residual sweetness and the lingering finish dominated by earthy graphite and mushroomy flavours. A rare treat. But drink up if you're lucky enough to have some.
