Friday, March 18, 2011 - Dark ruby red. Dr. Pepper nose. Full bodied. The wine has a very nice acidic core and some silky tannins. Red fruit which is on the sweet side. To the detriment of the wine, this is slathered in American oak. I did taste an older Cab from FH last year and the oak had integrated nicely, so patience is your friend with this wine. Fortunately, the structure is there to reward you if you wait this one out.
