Saturday, April 28, 2012 - I opened one of these last week, and it was drinking so well I decided to kill another. Alas, the first one I opened was so corked it was scary, but the second one is glorious. As Pegau goes, this is medium weight, very spicy, vibrant, loaded with pepper, hints of sandalwood, and then vibrant and somewhat tart red fruit. There is no shortage of funk, but what makes the wine is the rusticity, energy and overall vibrancy.
