Saturday, January 5, 2013 - PnP at a restaurant and did not change much over 1.5hrs, so little decanting needed for this. Got the leather and barnyard I expect from Pegau, but not overbearing on the palate. Red fruit of strawberry and raspberry that was surprisingly lush and even came across with a little sweetness on the finish. Medium body and acidity. Lacking the complexity and concentration of better vintages, but still a very enjoyable wine that is a knockout value at under $30. I intend to drink my remaining bottles over the next 1-2 years to enjoy the freshness of this vintage as I don't expect it to improve going forward.
