Tuesday, February 12, 2013 - Classic dark red core with cloudy red rim; earnest nose of earth, stone, radish and other vegetation, red fruit including cranberry and pomegranate, bandaid and classic grenache notes, meaty, latent tannin, and a finish like red hot candies. This bottle was very much more grenache like than past bottles that could have been confused with syrah. This bottle may be entering a different phase. A good wine but poor vintage which was confirmed when compared to some others at the tasting coming after this.
