Thursday, June 18, 2015 - Nice little nebbiolo here with plenty of varietal character. Garnet in color with moderate bricking and clear meniscus. Pleasing aromas of roses, cinnamon, cherry, tar, anise, and black tea. Medium body, medium+ acid and finish, and flavors of cherry, black tea, orange peel, anise, and baking spices. A little hollow on the mid-palate, but otherwise a nice wine. Tannins are a little grippy but nothing too detracting, especially with food. It's still got some years left, but I'm not sure if it will improve much from here. 90+
