Friday, November 12, 2010 - The PN from Oregon I have tasted before have been pleasing, light and harmonious, but unimpressive. This wine, however, appeaLs more to me than most PNs whether fron the new or the old world - but then I haven't tasted great Burgundies.... Red berries on the nose, but not the "sweet" strawberries from other Oregon PNs, it's deeper and more earthy. Add some mint and other spices and some "wood" (cedar). Well structured in the mouth, excellent acids, medium body. A long finish with obvious tannins and a pleasing bitterness. A seriuos wine.
