Thursday, February 3, 2011 - Tasted immediately after opening (bottle on the cool side). Medium ruby colour. A little restrained on the nose, but showed nice Pinot fruit, oak and minerals. Initially the oak struck me as a bit intrusive, but further exposure to air made the fruit component sweeter and more pronounced. Fairly slender on the palate with a dry and somewhat acidic finish. This wine has potential, but seems a little closed at the moment. I’ll save my remaining bottles for at least a couple of years.
