Sunday, May 29, 2011 - Tasted 5/20/2011 All kind of cherry-berries nose and flavors, cocoa powder and cola. Initial entry is very soft, subtle, almost whimsical. I decanted and tasted over a 4 hour period. For the first two hours I thought this wine was a bit simple. On the third hour this wine started to expand and gain more length. Still, I wasn't blown away at this early and seemingly open stage. I am wondering if there is a subtle and tight knit of complexity hiding that will develop with some time in the bottle? It's definitely a nice wine, and with possible potential for something more. For now, I find an entry level 2008 Joseph Roty "Cuvee De Pressonier" to show more structure.
