Friday, February 18, 2011 - First time I've ever had a Malvasia and was pleasantly surprised; sort of a refreshing Italian version of chenin blanc. Clear and straw colored, intense floral and citroen zest on the nose (could smell it without sticking my nose in the glass) with hints of apricots and lychee, crisp on the palate with a light touch of honey. Medium bodied and light finish. Looking forward to having this at a summer picnic. Also has one of the prettiest wine labels.
