The 09 is darker color, less aromatic, less acidic, less fruit, more grass, more vanilla, fuller bodied (mainly due to lower acidity). It's okay in its own right, but not very SB-like. Now I see why SB is meant to be drunk fairly young. I don't see enough interesting characteristics in the 09 to offset the loss of fruit and acidity.
