Dark red fruited nose, a whiff of smoke and a dense and relatively unevolved meatiness that hasn't quite developed in to sous bois. Sturdy. A touch of tannin still that is almost, but not quite, out of kilter with the fruit. Rustic in the best sense. Chewy too. Oodles of life. ***
