Tuesday, July 28, 2015 - Opened and let air for 1.5 hours before dinner of seared sirloin steak, baked potatoes, and mixed veggies. Dark, cloudy Crimson color. Nose brings roses, lush raspberries, wild herbs, and touches of strawberry pie. The palate is medium, elegant, round, and thin, bringing dark cherries, horse saddle, plums, and tangy raspberry baking spices into the finish, which brings nicely integrated tannins. Not going to get any more complex but should soften up over the next five years. Drink before 2020.
