Monday, October 6, 2014 - From half bottle this had a bit of cellar stink and was relatively skinny at first. A bit of air time and it was rocking. The nose was very savoury with notes of decaying leaves, smoke, pine needle sap and truffle. It gained in sweetness in the mouth and tasted of macerated fruits, brown sugar and soil. It had some minerally freshness to the finish and was a thoroughly engaging drink (whilst it lasted that is, as 375ml was by no means enough).
