Community Tasting Note

Wednesday, August 3, 2011 - Initially very acidic and peppery on the palate, with closed nose of dark cherries. 2 hour decant fixed that 'jus fine. Great aromatic nose of coal, wet concrete, herbs and dark fruits. Greatly satisfying. Full palate of dark ripe cherries and plum, quite a bit of tannin left with a great streak of acidity. I'll hold the other one for a few more years, and greatly look forward to tasting again. Only was able to have one glass out of the bottle.
Just came back from a Barnett Vineyards tasting, which was great, but confirms my love for the francs. Outstanding
