93 Points

Sunday, March 15, 2015 - Paired very well with a filet. Deep violet color with minimal lightening of the edges. Needed only 1 hour of decanting for it to open up nicely. Ripe plum, blackberry, licorice, truffle, and toasted hazelnut. A solid mouthfeel and silky on the palate. Still has tannins to integrate. Solid acidic backbone. Medium-plus finish. This wine seems so much younger than a '98, and has a long way to go.
