Saturday, July 25, 2015 - Dang, that's awfully good! As Gilman says, it's NOT a blockbuster: I was expecting bigger & fuller, bloodier, and no - it's very medium-bodied and derives a lot of lift from orange peel and that American oak "dill" note... and, yeah, 12.5%. Obviously it should drink great for decades, and it's certainly drinking wonderfully in 2015. I happen to have opened an LdH '02 the other night, and enjoyed the hell out of it; I dug this one at least equally and it seemed notably different in style (including being lighter and livelier).
