Medium-intensity, elegant and nuanced nose. Yellow orchard fruit, fresh citrus spine, apple and melon. Hints of gravelly minerals. Very gently oaky.
Medium-fullish palate with good intensity. Razor-sharp acid backbone. Good lenght. Very close-knit. Actually quite magic fruit. Very elegantly balanced between fruit, oak and minerals.
Surprisingly good Burg. Garenne is a high altitude vineyard and the elegant character of the wine was very interesting to compare with 2009 Dom Leflaive 1er Clavoillon, with its warmer vintage and it's lower positioned vineyard.
