Saturday, November 22, 2014 - This magnum came as part of the holiday wine shipment from Seavey, probably wouldn't have bought a 1998 otherwise. Decanted about 4 hours then consumed over the next few days. Very large amount of medium to large sediment. Typical old leather aromas. Tannins nicely integrated. Red to brown in color. Still some fruit hanging around here, but perhaps fading. Probably at it's peak now and on slow decline. Nice effort in a challenging year, but not enough fruit for my tastes.
