Saturday, July 18, 2015 - Checking in on the 2007 La La's. Very dark, blackish crimson. This is always the most dark/dense of the three, also in this vintage. Expressive nose of smoke, tar, licorice, black fruit, smoked meat, really on the opposite aromatic spectrum of the Cote Blonde (Mouline), no doubt that we are in the Cote Brune here. The aroma is very distinctive here with smoked meat in the center, not for the faint-hearted. Full bodied palate with lots of structure, tannins very present but not drying. A very masculine wine, wait until 2020 to open this and then don't forget: Throw another stake on the Barbie mate...
