Thursday, April 7, 2011 - Just opened. With some brett or stem on the nose? Almost savory fruit quality across the palate, richly aromatic, bright acids, very soft in tannins. We will see how it opens up.

Second day open, left in fridge, drunk 1/3 down on the bottle, without further protection:

Note the unsual cork. Micro-ship embedded in there?

Nose now very pronouced: floral note of chamomile, perfume of violet and honey. Red fruit of raspberry and dark cherry, almost a brambely note. sweet spice of nutmeg, just a hint of medicinal, mint, stems?

Palate is still a touch harder, not very much like a Chambolle Musigny to me. Or at least, not a soft and svelt as I would have expected. Maybe this is some stem tannin showing through? Although that is not what comes across in the flavors. More just youth. Needing time, quite vibrant.
