Wednesday, May 6, 2015 - From a 3L, had the distinct pleasure of drinking this with the vintner David Long at a tasting we hosted. Drank alongside the 2012 Elevation 1147. Decanted for 2 hours, drank over 3.

Dark garnet color, no visible signs of aging. Nose was Marguax-like: dark fruits, floral, earth, mushroom. Palate was dark cherry, blackberry, cedar, mushrooms. Nice combination of Pritchard Hill fruit with an earthy elegance.

In a great spot right now, although hard to compare as this came from a large format. Not an exceptional vintage for Napa, but this held up well. Great wine from a great producer
