Thursday, March 31, 2011 - Wine Festival Tasting Room, quick notes. Expressive nose of rich dark dried fruits, black cherry, tar, tobacco leaf, and spice. Lots of prune coming through on the palate, along with some tart plum, oak, saddle leather, and black pepper. Very dry, with a long+ finish and lots of chalky tannin. Very good.
