Friday, July 31, 2009 - Goodbye tasting for Michael (Michaels appartment): Dark red color with an orange hue. The nose has started showing some maturity, interwoven, complex notes of earth, crushed berries, raspberry, anise, licorice and mint. On the palate it is lively and juicy with good intense fruit, ripe cherries, blackcurrants and raspberries, followed by mint, tea leaves and licorice on the midpalate and finish. Rustic notes, but this seems caught at the perfect time maturity-wise with perfectly ripe tannins and a velvety texture.
