1998 Château La Couspaude

Community Tasting Note

Does not like this wine:

Saturday, March 2, 2013 - The last of mine, which I finished without regret. It fits the second tier RB template perfectly - oak, spice, vanilla, fruit in the top half of the palate, quite strong and lacking any depth. I can think of a dozen other St.Emilions that taste exactly the same. It's a perfectly acceptable example, but totally lacking in character. There are quite a number of LB wines in 98 that have fleshed out and developed better depth than this, costing a lot less.
