Wednesday, October 16, 2013 - Dark red color, some bricking at the edges. Nose of tar, some oak & savory aromas. Black currant, very plumy, coffee, and lots of spice. Medium bodied with still some tannins apparent. A definite savory element very apparent here. Fairly long, spicy finish. A pleasant enough wine, if not particularly distinctive. I drank from 1/2 bottle and find the wine to be mature and drinking right now about as good as it will ever be.
