Monday, May 30, 2016 - Enjoyed a half-bottle of 2009 Château Angélus with Jean-Bernard Grénie. This is a great vintage of Angélus, but it couldn't be more different than the 2010. While the 2010 is powerful, incredibly concentrated, and with big-time structure, the 2009 (albeit from a more evolved half-bottle) is much more lush and accessible. The fruit is super-ripe, full of plum, blackberry, and blueberry. Lots of minerality, truffle, and espresso. Should be fun to compare the 2009 and 2010 over the upcoming decades
