90 Points

Thursday, June 21, 2012 - Sacrificed one upon my futures arrival. First night note, the rest of the bottle is going in the fridge for a couple of days. Dark red color. Spicy rich fruit and graphite, a little jammy, and a little bubblegum on the nose (which is a reflection of the oak I believe). Really great body, but woud pretty tight as expected. The tannin is abundant but fine grained, my guess is the tannin resolves while the fruit matures and that this will be a beauty in about 10 years.
4 nights later- the bottle has been in the fridge. It's still tight and has even more fruit than before. I think this one will probably go a dozen years while improving. There is very little sign of oxidation and tons of power while the tannins are still showing but are very fine. I'd probably up my rating a point or two now, say 91-92 overall.
