2009 Château Lilian Ladouys

Community Tasting Note

90 Points

Sunday, September 8, 2013 - Warmed up in a decanter for about 30 min, and came across as fruity and juicy for a Bordeaux, with currant and blueberry (also unusual for Bordeaux). Medium body with medium acidity, and smooth refined tannins. Also a lovely nose. After about an hour, the tannins started asserting themselves more, creating some astringency on the finish. Fun to drink in its young, primary stage, but do it fairly quickly. I will let my remaining bottles rest to resolve the tannins more, as this should age nicely with the concentration and acidity levels it has, and has 2 points of upside in the future. Strong QPR.
