Saturday, October 15, 2016 - Consumed on second sitting so not really fair, but quite worrying. Botrytis evident but subdued for an 09. Fat, flabby and cloying. Acidity falls off quickly and taste is of sweetened rubber! Will try again.

5/2/2017 2:27:00 PM - A bottle from a leading producer in a fine sauternes vintage that tastes of rubber is clearly faulty. A faulty bottle should not be given a mark. It would have been far better to say that your bottle was faulty and not given it a mark of 71.

5/3/2017 1:02:00 AM - I am not a published author, MW, "wine educator", vigneron, Wine retailer, supplier or sommelier. I have, however recently tasted an Y`quem at a tasting I hosted with 28 other people, who despite scoring the wine , on average, 10/10, detected rubber. For me, wine tasting is subjective . I do not tell them what they should think, state or score a wine.
