Tuesday, July 21, 2015 - Dark brick red with little to no color variation. light staining in the thick legs that suggest medium-plus viscosity.
Aromas border on intense and strut complex and sexy scents of currant, cigar box, dark cherry, sun baked strawberry, herbs, green leafs, tomato stems, coffee, damp earth, mulch, sage, pencil shavings, bittersweet chocolate and vanilla.
On the palate this wine is still showing great structure. Acidity is medium-plus as are the tannins, alcohol and mid palate density.
Complex flavors show dark cherry, red currant, wild raspberries, and plum that meet the savory components of thyme, sage, tomato stem, cedar, pencil shavings, fresh cigar tobacco, earth, cocoa, vanilla, suede, and coffee. The texture is impeccably velvety. The finish is intense and lingers.

Overall this wine is still in its prime! Shows refinement and grace in its aging.
