2007 Antonin Guyon Corton-Bressandes

Community Tasting Note

89 Points

Sunday, March 24, 2013 - Not sure what to make of this. The nose was quite lovely and the wine was supple and oh-so-easy on the palate...that is the problem. This is a young Corton Bressandes - this thing should be showing young and intense. Instead it has all the substance of a feather pillow. Is it enjoyable? Yes. But you might as easily guess Oregon Pinot as Corton...it has more in common today with the former. I have one other bottle, which I think I'll hold at least 5 more years to see what happens to it. I hope it puts on some muscle, but just not sure?
